Autism Advice from Rosie Weldon

I enjoy reading what Rosie Weldon (Accountant and writer/blogger) has to say about autism, sensory overload, and how to help a child with autism and/or sensory processing difficulties to thrive with support.

She has autism, and a brother with autism whom she is helping to raise, so her advice is lived and first hand.

I follow Rosie on Facebook and encourage you to take on board what she has to say. It can be a tough road helping children mature, especially when there are differences and difficulties. Take heart, there are other people in the same boat who have been there before us and have sound advice.

Here’s one of my favourite points from Rosie:

“The most important thing you can ensure your child knows is that you are on their team. Always. No matter what battles they face at school, what challenges the world throws at them, they have parents who are firmly on their side.

As they get older you won’t be able to fight the battles for them, but you can stand with them, fight with them. Trust me, it will mean more than you know.”

If you would like therapy for your child with autism, I can help. Don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am happy to be on your team and stand with you.
